About us
Cornell Farms is a fifth generation family farm located in Northwestern Ontario along the Ontario/Minnesota border. Kim, Pat and their children Rebecca and Garnet are the current owners/operators. Cornell Farms is primarily a beef breeding stock business selling both purebred (Red Angus and Polled Hereford) and crossbred cattle. These animals are marketed primarily to producers in Ontario, Manitoba, Minnesota and Quebec. Currently, there are 600 head of cattle on the farm.
Our products We began selling locally produced, natural beef products direct to consumers in 1996 and have continued to expand and develop our product line. We vend our beef products - specialty sausages, cold meats, all-beef pepperettes, ground beef, beef patties, marinated steaks, beef paks and sides of beef - at Farmers' Markets in Fort Frances, Kenora, Sioux Lookout, Atikokan and Thunder Bay. Smoked pork products have also been added to our product line.
All of our products sold at the market are produced from grass-fed, pasture-raised beef. Our grain-finished beef is sold as beef paks and sides. Beef paks are a pre-cut variety pack of beef cuts equal to a quarter of a beef. They average 100 pounds each. Customers who purchase our sides of beef may indicate their own cutting and packaging instructions. We have a strong repeat customer base for all our beef products.
