Local fresh fish and smoked fish
The Fish Shop at 1960 Hwy 11 – 17 E (Trans Canada Highway) is open 8 to 8 daily. You can also find us at the Thunder Bay Country Market on Saturdays.
Established in 1970 by Hilkka Hautala, specializing in local fresh fish and smoked fish prepared with a traditional Finn recipe.  Fish are smoked with green alder wood, no chemicals, nitrates, liquid smoke are used. All ocean fish, seafood, European delicacies such as caviar, pickled herring, saltfish, lutefisk, salt cod are always available. Orders small and large welcome.
Our shop features many other local food items: farm eggs, wild rice, birch and maple syrup, preserves, produce, Finn & Polish foods. Operated and owned by Liisa Karkkainen.
